- Eden’s version name is the git commit.
1f6734cis what the v0.2.1 stable release (2026-06-01) is built from, so it is the newest published build. Eden’s GitHub repositories are blocked by a DMCA notice, so use its own git server. - Dusk was renamed Dusklight upstream. The Android package ID stayed the same, so updates install over the old version.
- RetroArch and Dusklight are not tracked by Obtainium. Check their releases pages by hand.
Eden configuration
Section titled “Eden configuration”- Firmware and keys are installed. About 123 titles are registered in Eden’s storage (about 31 GB).
- GPU driver: the custom Turnip driver (
turnip_mrpurple_T28-toasted). An Adreno 842.8 driver package is also present but not selected. - Graphics: Vulkan backend, resolution scale 3, no anti-aliasing, GPU accuracy 0, async GPU emulation off, docked mode off.
- Per-game configs exist for Skyrim, Silksong, Octopath Traveler 0, Persona 5 Royal, Deltarune, Deer & Boy, Rhythm Heaven Groove and Luigi’s Mansion 3.
- Everything lives in
/sdcard/Android/data/dev.eden.eden_emulator/files/(keys,nand,config,gpu_drivers,shader).
RetroArch configuration
Section titled “RetroArch configuration”Only the Gambatte (Game Boy) core is set up, with the ROMs in /sdcard/Roms/GBC. There is one battery save for Pokémon Red and no save states. Config is in /sdcard/RetroArch.
GameNative
Section titled “GameNative”Games are installed to /sdcard/Games/<Game>, which is shared storage that ADB can read, so the game files can be inspected. Keep it that way. Currently only Hollow Knight: Silksong (GOG Windows build, 8 GB) is installed there.
Switch library (Eden)
Section titled “Switch library (Eden)”The NSP files are in /sdcard/Download/Sw (about 153 GB) and /sdcard/Download/Swg (about 64 GB). Eden scans both as game directories. Swg holds the base games for 17 titles (Persona 3/4/5, Pikmin 1/2, Portal 1/2 and others). Sw holds updates and DLC, plus the base for the rest. They are not duplicates: a game needs its base file.
- Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, 2 (with all DLC) and 3 (with DLC waves 1–4)
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
- Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Link’s Awakening, Skyward Sword HD
- Pikmin, Pikmin 2, Pikmin 3 Deluxe, Pikmin 4
- Octopath Traveler, II, 0
- Ori and the Blind Forest, Ori and the Will of the Wisps
- Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Paper Mario: The Origami King
- Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, Persona 5 Royal
- Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight: Silksong
- Portal, Portal 2
- Luigi’s Mansion 3, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Deltarune, Return of the Obra Dinn, Rhythm Heaven Groove, Deer & Boy
Other game files in /sdcard/Download: a GameCube ISO of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (for Dusklight), Pokémon Red and Blue Game Boy ROMs (about the games), the Switch firmware zip (Firmware_22.5.0.zip) and a Minecraft mod zip.
Android games (closed source)
Section titled “Android games (closed source)”- Ports: Alien: Isolation (Feral, 2.4 GB OBB), Max Payne, Minecraft, Stardew Valley
- Playdigious: Dead Cells, Sea of Stars, Slime Rancher, Streets of Rage 4
- Indie: Brotato, Crossy Road, Easy Delivery Co., Among the Sleep, Siralim Ultimate, An Unknown Fall, Dungeon Warfare 2
- Horror: Five Nights at Freddy’s 1–4 and Sister Location; Poppy Playtime chapters 1–4, plus an unofficial-looking “Playtime 5” (
com.unrealplaystudio.playtime5) - Also installed: a Pokémon Red port (
com.theboisclub.pokemonred) and a Noodlecake game (com.noodlecake.drtc); I did not resolve their titles. - GeForce NOW is installed but disabled. YouTube is installed.
Housekeeping
Section titled “Housekeeping”Safe to delete (about 0.4 GB, all small):
- Old screenshots and preference backups in
/sdcard:test*.png,ra.png,cc_shot.png,pluvia_prefs_*.pb,iport_log.txt, and thewrapper/folder. Pictures/.thumbnails(8 MB), app caches underAndroid/data/*/cache, and the unused Adreno driver package in Eden’sgpu_drivers.- Extra copies of
PokemonRed.gbandPokemonBlue.gbinDownload(the RetroArch copies are inRoms/GBC). - The Switch firmware zip
Firmware_22.5.0.zip(325 MB), which is already installed in Eden.
Check before deleting:
-
The older Silksong update (
v131072) is superseded byv655360. -
Silksong is installed twice, as the Switch version and as the 8 GB GameNative PC build.
-
Do not delete
Swg. It holds base games thatSwonly patches. -
Update method used on 2026-09-29: download the APK from the releases page, then
adb install -r app.apk. Never pass-d(downgrade) for Eden, and use the “standard” Eden build (dev.eden.eden_emulator), not the optimized, legacy or ChromeOS variants, which have different package IDs.
